Version 3.6 includes new features, code improvements and bug fixes. It was also tested in WordPress 3.6 to ensure that it's compatible with the upcoming WordPress update.
An important (UX) feature is the option to show all the available options in the slider's sidebar panels. The options inside the panels are also grouped in several categories to make it easier for the user to find the functionality he needs. These groups can also be collapsed, just like the panels. The intention was to make the interface more intuitive and the workflow faster.
The new view is available by default in new installs, but if you're updating from an older version and want to use the new view, you will need to enable it by checking the "Display all slider options" option in Slider PRO -> Plugin Options.
HTML markup modification
The slider now uses only "div" elements in the HTML markup, instead of "ul" or "li" elements, in order to avoid CSS conflicts with themes. If you have custom CSS code that targets the "ul" or "li" elements, please target those elements using the class names, ".slides" and ".slide", instead.
Disable image right-clicks
You can now disable right-clicks on images inside the slider by setting the "Disable right-click" option, from the General sidebar panel, to true.
If you like simple or no styling for thumbnail images, you can now easily remove the default styling by using the Thumbnail Border, Thumbnail Background and Thumbnail Glow options.
Exclude taxonomies in Posts Content slides
Sometimes you want to load most categories or tags but exclude a few. For example, instead of selecting 25 out of 30 categories, you can now only select those 5 categories that you want excluded, and the slider will load all categories except those. You can do this using the new 'Operator' option, and setting it to 'NOT IN' if the selected taxonomies are those that you want excluded.
Gallery images and Attached images in Gallery slides
Since WordPress 3.5, the galleries are handled differently than they were in previous versions, so a post's gallery becomes independent of the collection of images uploaded/attached to that post. You can have post galleries that contain images other than those uploaded to that specific post.
The slider comes to address this change and adds the 'Type' option for 'Gallery' slides, allowing you to chose if the images in the slider should be loaded from a gallery that exists in the post or from images uploaded to that post.
